Numbers & Operations
Place value, the four operations, fractions and decimals.
2 units
- Whole Numbers & Place Value — Line up place values; estimate first so you can catch a wrong answer.
- Fractions & Decimals — Same denominators: add the tops. Fraction of a number: divide by the bottom, multiply by the top.
Measurement & Geometry
Perimeter, area, time, units and shapes.
1 unit
- Measurement & Geometry — Perimeter goes around (add the sides); area covers (length × width). Write the units.
Data & Probability
Mean, range, patterns and chance.
1 unit
- Patterns, Data & Probability — Mean: add, then divide by how many. Probability: the part you want over the total.

Moving up to Middle Level
- Cover at least 80% of this Level's knowledge points, with at least 50% of them mastered (confirmed by spaced review, not one good day).
- Pass 2 full-length practice exams on different papers, at least 7 days apart, within 60 days.
- Answer at a steady pace: a median of 60 seconds a question or less.
- Or, when the signs are there, take the next Level's entry check: 75% or more moves up straight away.
A sample question from Lower Level
Which expression is equivalent to 4(x + 3) − 2(x − 1)?
Answer: 2x + 14
Worked solution
- Distribute: 4(x + 3) = 4x + 12 and −2(x − 1) = −2x + 2.
- Combine: 4x − 2x + 12 + 2 = 2x + 14.
Read-only. Every other question opens after sign-in; each child's first round is free.
