Glossary

Knowledge point(知识点)
One teachable idea — the unit of the knowledge tree. Learned once from the companion book, then practiced in each competition's own style.
Knowledge tree(知识体系)
The track's shared table of contents: chapters of knowledge points, in learning order, aligned to the standard books.
Companion text(配套教材)
The book chapter that teaches a knowledge point — e.g. AoPS Prealgebra ch. 7 — read before practicing.
Diagnosis(诊断)
The opening round: one pass over every knowledge point at the hard tier, so all later practice is aimed instead of guessed.
Exam simulation(全真模拟)
The contest's form: the same question mix and the same clock, slightly harder than the contest itself — the score is a true reading.
Full mock(模拟考试)
A full-length, blueprint-weighted paper at the hard tier, sealed until submission.
Daily paper(每日卷)
A half-length blueprint-weighted paper — the plan's everyday workload.
Hard drill(强化训练)
A round aimed at your weakest knowledge points, misses first.
Mistake book(错题本)
Every missed question collects here with its working; answer it correctly twice and it clears itself — once is recognizing, twice is knowing.
Chapter quiz(章测)
The knowledge tree chapter's big quiz — 50 questions mixing every knowledge point in the chapter.
Section quiz(章节测验)
A course section's mixed round: choosing the method is part of the work, as on contest day.
Free diagnosis(免费诊断)
Each learner's one free sitting — the diagnosis on one course, no card needed. Finishing any round uses it.
Pass mark(及格线)
The calibrated cut for a Simulation — the score that would have made the contest's cut.
Focus(专注度)
The share of a round's time actually spent on the question page rather than in other tabs.
Answer sheet(答题卡)
The per-question map of a finished round: green right, amber right-but-shaky, red wrong, gray unanswered.
Stage(阶段)
The knowledge tree's four learning stages — Pre, Intro, Intermediate, Advanced — matching the AoPS book ladder. Stages guide; they never gate.
AoPS (Art of Problem Solving)(AoPS(Art of Problem Solving))
The standard American competition-math book series; the math knowledge tree maps chapter-for-chapter to it.
