Synonyms
Choose the word closest in meaning to the word in capitals.

- Synonyms — Core Vocabulary — Define the head word in your own words BEFORE reading the choices, then match.
- Synonyms — Roots & Prefixes — Split the word: aud = hear, mal = bad, bene = good, -ible = can be. Rebuild the meaning from the parts.
- Synonyms — Second Meanings — If no choice fits the meaning you know, the word is being used in another sense: think of other phrases it appears in ('a sound plan').
Analogies
Find the relationship in the first pair, then match it.

- Analogies — Opposites, Degree & Qualities — Opposites, same meaning, or 'more of': name which, then reject choices that are merely related.
- Analogies — Parts, Groups & Kinds — Part of, member of, or kind of? The answer must be the same one, in the same direction.
- Analogies — Tools, Workers & Products — Most common Middle relationship (34% of labelled pack items): what is it FOR, who USES it, what does the worker MAKE?
- Analogies — Places, Causes & Stages — Where does it happen, what does it cause, what does it become?
升到 Upper Level 需要什么
- 覆盖本级至少 80% 的知识点，其中至少 50% 达到掌握（通过间隔复习确认，而不是某一天做得好）。

解题过程
- Relationship: A seedling grows into a tree; a tadpole grows into a frog.
- Check the answer in the same sentence: tadpole is to frog fits.
- The others fail: leaf is to branch part and part; forest is to tree group and member; frog is to tadpole has the right relationship in the wrong order; pond is to frog place and animal.
