  1. Understanding the Text

    What the passage says and what it is mostly about.

    2 个单元

    • Main Idea — Ask: what is the WHOLE passage about? The answer is not one small detail and not too big.
    • Details — Go back and find the sentence. The answer says the same thing in different words.

  2. Thinking About the Text

    What the passage suggests, what its words mean, and why the writer wrote it that way.

    4 个单元

    • Inference — An inference is not stated, but the passage gives you clues. Point to the clue.
    • Word Meaning in Context — Reread the sentence, cover the word, and put in your own word. Pick the choice that matches.
    • Author's Purpose & Feelings — Ask WHY the writer put this in: to explain, to compare, to connect to the reader, to show a feeling.
    • Poems & Figurative Language — Figurative language says one thing is LIKE another, or gives a thing human actions. Ask what the comparison shows.

升到 Middle Level 需要什么

  • 覆盖本级至少 80% 的知识点，其中至少 50% 达到掌握（通过间隔复习确认，而不是某一天做得好）。
  • 在 60 天内通过 2 次不同试卷的完整模拟考试，两次至少间隔 7 天。
  • 答题速度稳定：每题用时中位数不超过 64 秒。
  • 或者在条件成熟时参加下一级的入门检测：达到 75% 即可直接升级。
